Circular Soils Research Initiative Honored with 2023 Excellence in GSI Award

We are delighted to share that the OLIN Labs' team has received the Sustainable Business Network of Great Philadelphia’s (SBN) 2023 Excellence in Innovation GSI Award for their Circular Soil Initiative! Congratulations and thank you to our partners at Bottle Underground and E&LP!

SBN presents these awards to honor the exemplary projects and the people behind them that bring the environmental, social, and economic benefits of green stormwater infrastructure to life in Philadelphia and the region.

OLIN’s Circular Soil project aims to design and disseminate a sustainable process for turning urban waste into high-performing infrastructure while creating green jobs and supporting a circular economy. The research from this initiative provides a model for practice-based, collaborative research that effectively bridges the gap between theory and practice (or between pure and applied research) through tools and skills that are central to the landscape architecture profession.
