Earth Day Talk with Meg Calkins

We are thrilled to be in conversation with Meg Calkins, Professor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at North Carolina State University, and former LAF Fellow.

Over the past two decades, Meg has focused on the environmental impacts of resource consumption and the carbon footprint of built landscapes. Her talk will focus on her forthcoming book, Details and Materials for Resilient Sites: A Carbon Positive Approach, as well as the evolution of her research.

Meg’s research is pivotal in advancing the objectives of the ASLA Climate Action Plan, OLIN’s Climate Action Plan, and climate positive design across the built environment.
