Research is an essential component of the successful design and implementation of complex projects.  OLIN Labs is an integrated community of designers within OLIN, committed to driving the firm’s process of design inquiry and fostering theoretical and practical discourse to expand the knowledge and boundaries of professional practice.  Recent efforts range from exploratory, applied research for specific project challenges, to data driven design and evaluation of ecological and social performance, and focused primary research to develop sustainably-sourced materials for living systems.
